27 Years of Marriage
A JOURNEY THROUGH CO-EXISTENCE AND TEA
Carl and I were married on 18 July 1998, so today marks 27 years of marriage! Alas, I don't have a digital copy of any of our wedding photos so you'll just have to use your imagination, but suffice to say, we're old!
It's amazing how quickly the time passes. It's a strange oneβon the one hand, we've been married for so long and been through so much together I can barely remember what life without him was like. On the other, well, it really doesn't feel like 27 years.
I have no wise words to impart about how to make a marriage last. Ours, like many others, is far from perfect. In fact, there've been times I wondered if we'd make it this far! But here we are and, as far as I know, neither of us has any plans to change things.
We're not easy people to live with; we both have some form of neuro-divergency and would probably annoy the hell out of other people if we had to live with them. But hey, we co-exist pretty well on the whole!
Which may not sound overly romantic, but neither of us are love's young dream anymore and love definitely takes on different forms as you go through the years together.
Anyway, love you Carl! Now, where's that cuppa you said you were making me?
xxxxxxx
